What Clients Say

I've known Mark since 2009, when I met him as owner and licensee of The Rum Diaries in Bondi. Given his knowledge, experience and credentials in hospitality, we approached him to consult on major events and venues at the Swiss Grand Hotel, a relationship that ran for five years until the hotel closed for redevelopment.

During that time Mark worked closely with us across White Revolver and Cream Tangerine, both within the hotel. Cream Tangerine's New Year's Eve, New Year's Day and Australia Day events regularly drew over 1,500 attendees, while White Revolver became an exclusive late-night venue that attracted A-list Sydney and international guests, including Leonardo DiCaprio and members of U2.

Mark was reliable, organised and responsible throughout, particularly sensitive to legal procedures and consistently maintaining a strong relationship with local police and licensing authorities in Bondi and Waverley. He was professional at all times, well respected by colleagues, and someone I'd describe without hesitation as honest and highly competent.

Swiss Grand Hotel (Accor), Former General Manager & Licensee

Mark was instrumental in the successful launch of SeaDeck, helping navigate complex licensing and operational challenges during the vessel's approval process. With significant scrutiny from the Office of Liquor & Gaming and NSW Police, Mark's reputation, leadership and operational expertise played a key role in securing the liquor licence required for the business to operate.

Following the launch, SeaDeck quickly became one of Sydney Harbour's standout hospitality experiences, regularly operating multiple events each week with up to 400 guests onboard. Mark oversaw all hospitality, security and marine operations, ensuring seamless coordination across all departments.

Operating a large-scale venue on the water required an exceptional focus on compliance, safety and risk management. Mark maintained high operational standards at all times, carefully managing stakeholders, staff, patron safety and regulatory requirements while protecting both the business and its investment. His leadership, attention to detail and ability to manage complex operational environments were critical to SeaDeck's success.

He managed all stakeholder requirements, including governing bodies, police, sponsors, coaches, participants and event partners. Mark successfully delivered multiple sanctioned events, some attracting up to 800 attendees, while overseeing compliance, safety, sponsorship outcomes and the full event experience.

His ability to build the program, manage complex approvals and deliver high-quality events demonstrated strong leadership, project management and commercial execution.
